How you can be the author of your own home!...

Since I can remember, I have had a love for bricks and mortar - the safe, protected feeling it can offer you and the vast array of building styles that have progressed through the years - every building telling its own story. To me, walking through the door of a building is almost like opening the cover of a book and it is filling the pages of that book to create a beautiful and interesting story that I have a natural passion and flair for - with you, the owner and therefore inspiration for the next chapter! Number one on the list in my approach to design is listening to your needs and lifestyle requirements to ensure your brief is fully met. Some of my clients struggle to pin-point exactly what their style is. Their colour preferences, whether they would enjoy a bolder scheme, or something more neutral and placid, what kind of materials and textures they'd feel most comfortable with, whether they'd be happy with a pattern and if so, what kind... the list goes on... It is my job first and foremost to learn about you and help you to find the answers to these questions. To discover what kind of personality you are, your likes & dislikes, choices you would make in other aspects of your daily life which help me to work out your preferences and decipher what kind of colour personality you are - an element that is absolutely pivitol from a psychological point of view, to ensuring you feel completely comfortable and 'at home' in your surroundings. I am a problem solver and challenge myself on every project to ensure I go over and above your expectations, utilising every space to its absolute maximum potential within the budget provided and offering a solution that is functional, comfortable and fabulously be-YOUtiful! I enjoy working with colour and texture and believe a successful home interior will reflect your individual personality and give increased enjoyment of your living space. Just like how putting on your favourite outfit and knowing you look as good as you feel can increase the enjoyment of your day! Your home may need to cater for many needs, for you and the people you may share your home with. It can be your workspace, a place to socialise, a place to relax. It is your shelter. Your Peace. Your calm. Your privacy. A place to be you. Yes, it needs to be functional, practical and comfortable for all who live under its roof, but most of all, it needs to feel individual to you - celebrating and surrounding you with all the things you love and telling your story. For you to walk through your front door and feel the instant embrace of your home, the natural flow, feeling of calm and belonging, to me is good design. Home should absolutely be, 'where the heart is'.
