Hello and Welcome!!!

Hey lovely peoples! And welcome to my blog! A place where I will be sharing with you my thoughts on styles and trends, ideas and interior design inspo! As you may have already read on my website, I am slowly renovating my own home around work and family life and like to get involved with a little upcycling project here and there, which I will be sure to let you in on as and when! For now, with it being spring and the Easter holidays, I'd like to leave you with one of my favourite photos of literally a rustic pot of flowers I planted with my daughter whilst living in France, sitting against the Mediterranean blue metal outbuilding door I had just painted. Yellow, red and blue - the three primary colours. The stunning bright red of these geraniums is nature creating it's own triadic colour scheme and showing how the law of colour really does work! I love how the rustic textures of the old primrose yellow pot contrasts with the smoothness of the blue and the soft petals of the flowers. You can almost feel the textures just looking at the photo! Nature is clever when it comes to colour and texture!! It grows its own naturally beautiful colour schemes for us to be inspired by! Look around you whilst out and about in the sunshine this Easter! Nothing clashes in nature! And the same colour in one flower can look completely different in another flower of another form and texture!

The same can be reflected into our home interiors.

Our natural surroundings can have a huge impact on how we feel. Connecting with our outdoors - learning what makes us happy and reflecting it into our homes can enhance our wellbeing greatly.

Enjoy the colours this spring!

Happy Easter everyone!

Nicola xx
